We all must set goals! In fact, every successful individual has clearly defined objectives!

Please imagine for a moment shooting an arrow from a bow. Imagine setting the arrow to the wind without looking which direction you will send it? The chance of hitting the target is very small. What if the engineers at NASA released a rocket into space with no previously defined destination? Neil Armstrong would still be in space if NASA wouldn't have previously set their goal to be the moon. Silly isn't it?

So then, what goal did you set this morning when you awoke? What will you accomplish today? If you didn't set a goal for today, I can promise you, you won't achieve your potential!

Each person who enters the gym must have an objective or they will assuredly not achieve their potential. Too often I witness athletes in the gym wondering from machine to machine with no particular objective in mind. They do not maximize their potential. As athletes attend AerobiKicK, they are continuously encouraged to set goals. What will you get out of the next technique? What will you get out of the next four techniques? What do you expect for today, this week, month, year, and yes what objectives have you set for the next 30 years? This is imperative.

I knew when I was eleven that when I turned 70 I would be able to do push-ups, sit-ups, maintain flexibility, and get around better than most 70 year olds. That is of course, God willing! I will do my part to achieve the goal I set so long ago. The rest is in the hands of our Lord.

Set aside time each morning to define your goals, reflect on yesterday's achievements, and aspire to reach your potential today, and everyday! If you do, you will be amazed how far you will get in life. My favorite quote: "You only live once, but if you live right, once is enough" (Frank Sinatra). I believe it.
